Fresh Cut Gerbera

Gerberas come in a multitude of colors.  Some colors are white, pink, salmon, yellow, red, orange and more.  Gerberas are not affected by exposure to ethylene gas but gravity causes stem bending.  For this reason, you will cut gerbera under water, "Quick Dip", and place in water with flower solution, and hang in meshed support or shipping tray when first hydrating to keep stems straight.

Gerbera's keep 7-18 days.  With Gerberas, more water is lost through the stems then the flower.  So care should be taken with the stems.  Store at 33-35F

Fluoride in water sources can cause petal tip burn, but fresh flower food solutions can prevent this disorder.
