Help with Snapdragons

Some florists have a great deal of trouble with snapdragon heads bending when hydrating. One florist suggestion was to wrap the heads in newspaper while they are hydrating, making sure they are standing straight up in the bucket. Also the heads are wrapped so that light only comes in the top of the wrap.

Another, said before processing, it helps to totally submerge the flowers in water, cut and place into treated water, wrapped as above.
