Solutions for working with Callas Lilies in Wedding Bouquets

Florist #1: You might try this. When you start the bouquet, use just the large callas first, tie them loosely. Start adding your mini callas by giving them a very clean sharp cut. If the stems on the minis are hard, stab it straight into the stem of one of the larger callas.

If the mini stems are soft, take your knife and cut a vertical entrance thru the outer skin, into the flesh of the larger callas stem and insert the mini at the position you need. Try to be gentle, disturbing as little of the flesh inside as possible. You will then need to seal the open area with a stem adhesive. Don't put the stem adhesive on before you inset the mini. The mini will drink from the large callas and stay beautiful also.
