Fresh Cut Stephanotis

Available year-round, stephanotis is a fairly expensive, fragrant and fragile flower.  This flower is cold-sensitive and in need of constant moisture and many florists wet their hands while working with stephanotis.  Temperatures below 42 degrees and handling may cause bruising.  To hydrate (water) flowers, float in 80-90 F water and store moistened above 42 F.

Stephanotis is used a great deal in wedding bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres and headpieces.
This is one of the techniques while working with stephanotis.

Stephanotis is sold in groups of 25.  Delivered in plastic container  with shredded waxed tissue to hold moisture.
