Easy, inexpensive and fun is the way I describe this centerpiece idea. First, take a left over butter bowl. Cut with scissors to make a short dish. Insert a small block of oasis foam (Presoak with water before inserting into dish.) Make one cut into the candle ring in order to place around the oasis and spread to fit dish.

Now, start adding the foliage and flowers in between the candle ring. Since we will be using this bouquet down the middle of an 8 foot oblong table, I have added the flowers to give an oblong look.

I wanted the arrangement to have a more fresh look, so I removed a few of the silk leaves and added Oregonia (which looks like Boxwood but variegated) This centerpiece used one stem yellow mums and two stems of bronze mums.

Also, when inserting the flowers, remember to insert towards the middle and turn the flower head upward as if it were looking for sun light. This is the mistake many make. In order to arranged flowers, you want them to look natural, as though they are growing.

We will use bouquets like this and the wheat vases, seen on newsletter 1b to flow down the middle of our table. Pumpkins arrangements will also be used as seen on newsletter 1c.
