A friend of mine always has her family reunion dinner on Easter weekend.  They use the church gym and about sixty people attend.  Her budget for decorations was $25.00 to $30.00.

First she picked white bridal wreath (spirea) from a bush in her yard, lavender and purple verbena which grows from spring to fall in our area, spreading vinca and asparagus fern  plant which she had wintered in her garage and now had started turning green.

We made twelve to go in between the vases on each table.

reunion2.jpg (17425 bytes) We filled the vases with water and loaded them with the flowers she brought from her yard.  (See above for names)  We added yellow Easter grass around the base of each vase.

reunion3.jpg (17377 bytes) With sixty people attending, we set up twelve 8 foot tables in three rows.  Each row had four vases and four water pick bouquets. We then scattered Easter candy along the table.  The reunion party decorations looked great and we  stayed within the budget.

At a formal banquet, you could fold yellow and lavender paper napkins and place in the middle of each plate.  (See our instructions on folding napkins by pressing back on your computer and going into "folding napkin" section.)

Added ideas below.

reunion4.jpg (50732 bytes) With this idea, you buy small plants and move to cup and saucers.  Cover your water pick with green tape, add rose and ivy in water pick and make bow.  (Ivy wilts fairly quick without a water source and this give it the source to last throughout your party.

A western table idea would be to take inexpensive rope from your hardware store and hot glue three rows down around terra cotta pots.  Move your plant into pots. Add bow.

The added table display is made with 1/5 of a soaked wreath which has been twisted into a figure eight.  Wire in the middle and add your water pick, which has been covered with brown tape.  Add flowers and bow.
