Cut Stephanotis
Available year-round,
stephanotis is a fairly expensive, fragrant and fragile flower. This
flower is cold-sensitive and in need of constant moisture and many
florists wet their hands while working with stephanotis.
Temperatures below 42 degrees and handling may cause bruising. To
hydrate (water) flowers, float in 80-90 F water and store moistened
above 42 F.
Stephanotis is used a great deal in
wedding bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres and headpieces. This is one of the techniques while
working with stephanotis.
Stephanotis is sold in groups
of 25. Delivered in plastic container
with shredded waxed tissue to hold moisture.
