• Set Date

• Contact Officiator and Ceremony Location to hold your date.  (Also many churches have candelabras, lighters, kneeling bench, table linens, dishes and other items.  You will want to ask about cost of use)

• If your reception is held in location other than the wedding, you will want to contact to put the date in their book.

• Contact court clerk's office in your county about rules in filing as blood test/examination days before wedding, etc.

• Decide the size of your wedding, numbers of bridesmaids, groomsmen, ushers, servers and also number of guests.  (use our floral ordering form to fill in names and dates)  

• Contact singer, pianist and other musicians to set dates.

• Contact photographer, bakery (wedding cake), florist, caterer (if needed) printer for invitations to set date of consultations.

• Decide colors and style

• Select Wedding Apparel - bride - groom - bridesmaids - groomsmen  (Don't forget shoes as many need to be dyed to the color of the wedding and this may take a few days)

• Make list of guests and gift recommendations with your home decorating colors for bridal showers, etc.

If you do not use a wedding coordinator, you will certainly want to ask a friend, not in your wedding party, to help with last minute check list the day of the wedding.  Suggested items on list would be phone numbers and schedule time of delivery and set up of floral pieces and cake items. 

Also they will want to make sure corsages and boutonnieres have been handed out and pined on properly.  Many wedding photos are taken before the wedding begins while the mother and bride are dressing.  The guys tend to forget the boutonnieres.
