Gerberas used in Weddings

We have two florists suggestions while working with gerberas in weddings.

Without a water source, gerberas tend to wilt and the following ideas come from two florists:

First florist uses wet cotton ball floral taped to the end of each stem. After this, they submerge the flower in Crowning Glory (new formula, totally clear) and dry them with a hair dryer set on cool. Florist said they stood up out of the cooler for two days.

Second florist said another trick is to use carpenters glue, diluted 5 to 1, and then "dip" the gerberas in the glue. The glue dries "clear" and stiffens up the gerberas for the big event... try this in advance and see how long they last.
